Magazines that we analysed.

In todays lesson we looked at a range of all different types of magazines, this one is a gossip womens magazine. We looked at the different age range its for, who the audience is meant to be, the genre of the magazine, and the colours, the coverlines and the titles. We started to look at what was attracting the audience and what would not, we also thought about why they had used the specific photos, and colours etc.  We talked about the main articles and why they attracted us to the magazine. Personally I think the magaizne looks quite jumbled up, I am not really a fan of the colours that are used and being a female the only thing that really catches my eye is the pictures that are used on the front page. Although this magazine does sell quiet quickly on the shelf, I think if they organised their layout a bit neater it would look much better. However the magazine does have all the key features that a magazine should have, for example: The name of the magazine, coverlines, a barcode and the price, it also has the date on it, and has lots of pictures. These are all key things for the reader, and this is mainly what attracts the audience of the magazine.
