Review of Monday's Lesson

On Monday in lesson we looked at different conventions of a contents page, we talked about as a class what we thought they were. We looked at what is in the magazine, page numbers if the articles, and what they relate too, pictures what are relating to whats inside, captions, quotes, and themes relating to the magazine's pages. I quite enjoyed that task as I have never really looked at a contents page in that much detail. We then had four contents pages, from four different magazines, we had to analyse them in a table and in the catorgories such as price/frequency, Number of pictures, Anaysis of pictures, Picture captions/labels, Language used, number of pages used in the magazine, use of colour and finally use of font.

We then went on the computers for the second part of the lesson to create a mood board, on powerpoint about what we wanted and what we believed should go on the magazine front and on the contents page of what we are going to make for our preliminary task to the coursework. We were told we were going to have to make the cover for a new school magazine, which actually sounds quite fun as we can finally make a new one for our school, as it currently is quite boring.
Below is my mood board that I created in the lesson of all of the things I want to include on my cover and contents page.
